Words like “creativity” and “innovative” are intangible things. While, for some, a novel approach to the materials and techniques is considered as creative, others may see the concept of the quilt as the most innovative and creative part of the work. There is no right answer; it is all relative to the artist in their journey of exploration to higher self-expression.
My fairy may not be flying high, in terms of some creatures in the world, but she has taken flight, in a most unconventional way and she is flying above her world.
Techniques and materials: Free motion appliqué, and curved piecing. Commercial fabrics painted and dyed. Colored pencils, Angelina fibers, tulle, extensive thread painting and Cotton batting.
