Sketchbook challenge- February's challenge- Opposites

I wasn't very excited about this challenge subject. I don't know why, I know contrasts are important in art (and Life) but I still was reluctant. It's taken me this long to decide to just go ahead and make "something" and not over think it so much. I did a basic sketch of Mona Lisa and then spent time filling in the different parts with doodles (mostly patterns). The best I can say is that it's done so I am keeping my promise to myself.

Your Mona Lisa is great! I'm kind of hooked on zintangles and belong to a yahoo tangle group. They would be very impressed with this piece.
Also wanted to tell you I agree with your comment on the Quilting Arts List regarding teachers crossing borders. Thanks for saying it.

Or maybe they are Zentangles instead of Zintangles...I confuse the spelling often.
Z(e/i)ntangles were originally circles and now we use all kinds of shapes so we just call them "tangles". Or maybe we call them that because the spelling of the first "z_n" was too confusing.

I think this is wonderful. I have the same problem - over thinking then feeling like making a masterpiece is just too much to deal with. I love that you've borrowed a masterpiece and made it your own. What a great idea.
